Adopt-A-Highway Trash Pick-up -- Saturday, September 3 -- 10:00 AM

We tried earlier in August and later August, but it looks like September 3 is a go for picking up litter along Old Bridge Road in conjunction with the VDOT Adopt-A-Highway program.  Now all we need is people.

Here is a chance to do a little labor before you relax for the rest of the Labor Day Weekend.  E-PW will be conducting its third trash pick-up of this year along Old Bridge Road.  We will get underway at 10:00 AM on September 3.  Just show up in the parking lot outside Brittany's (12449 Dillingham Square, Woodbridge, VA).  Trash bags and gloves will be provided.

AND -- as we have done in the past -- after we have disposed of the trash along Old Bridge Road, we stroll on in to Brittany's for the refreshment of your choice.

Send an RSVP to Jim at KJamesOConnor@comcast.net, call him at (703) 791-3479 or (703) 314-9905 or just click "Attending" on our Facebook page.

Hope to see you on September 3.

The September Brunch -- Sunday, September 18 -- 1:00 - 3:30 PM

Bill and Russ are hosting our September Brunch.  In addition to all the good food and the time to relax with friends, old and new, E-PW will be inviting the candidates or a member of their staffs to join us and exchange views.

November 8 is election day.  All 40 seats in the Virginia Senate, 100 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates the eight members of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors will be up for election.  Invitations to candidates -- Democrats, Independents and Republicans -- will be sent out inviting them to the brunch.

As always, the brunch is a pot luck event, so Russ and Bill need to know if you are coming and what you will be bringing.  You can get in touch with an e-Mail to WJDornetto@yahoo.com or a phone call to (703) 335-2183.  You can also click "Attending" on the E-PW Facebook Page.  They live at 6199 Deer Path Court, Manassas, Virginia (Take Davis Ford Road to Occoquan Forest Drive and go almost to the end).

Make plans now to attend the brunch on September 18.

AND REMEMBER -- Every vote counts.  If you aren't registered, you have until October 8 to do so.  And if you ARE registered, be sure to look at your voter ID card which should have arrived in the mail recently.  Many polling places have changed.
